How does the maximum content per period work?

Updated over a week ago

Balzac helps manage your content creation pace by limiting how many articles, posts or tweets are written within specific time periods. Here's how it works:

The basics

You can set two key parameters:

  • Maximum articles/posts/tweets per period: How many content Balzac will write (1-30)

  • Period: The timeframe - Day, Week, or Month

How does it work?

Balzac distributes your content creation evenly throughout the chosen period. Here are some examples:

For daily limits

If you set 2 content per day, Balzac will distribute these contents evenly across the day.

For weekly limits

With 3 contents per week, Balzac intelligently distributes writing:

  • Days 1-2: Up to 1 content

  • Days 3-4: Up to 2 contents

  • Days 5-7: Up to 3 contents

For monthly limits

Setting 12 contents per month means Balzac will pace writing throughout the month.

For example, by mid-month, only about 6 contents would be written, ensuring consistent content production throughout the period.

This distribution ensures your content creation remains steady and manageable rather than clustering all contents at the beginning of a period.

The counter resets at the start of each new period (midnight for daily, Monday for weekly, 1st day for monthly).

You can adjust these settings anytime in the workspace' settings to match your content strategy and publishing capacity.

Note on manual starts

Important: When you manually start the writing of a content using the Start now button on your dashboard, Balzac will write that content immediately, bypassing the period limit.

This override allows you to prioritize specific content when needed, even if you've already reached your period limit.

However, keep in mind that manually started content still count toward your overall period total.

Use this feature when you need to expedite particular content pieces without waiting for the next period to begin.
